About Jaz

I enjoy math intensely and reflect that in my tutoring style. I believe that the techniques for solving problems should not be difficult or confusing to learn and I always strive to make my lessons as easy to understand as possible.

What makes me qualified to teach you ask? I have tutored sknce I was in 6th grade and hold an advanced college degree in Mathematics and Environmental Studies. All the students that I've had the pleasure of tutoring ober the years have improved their understanding of both mathematics and science, and received high marks on homework and exams.

I love when students start asking themselves the necessary questions while thinking critically about a problem.

I began teaching when I was young, I learned new lessons differently and understood new lessons and materials faster than most.

This led to my peers coming to me for help that I was happy to provide for them, I have continued ever since.

I have a Bachelor's in Mathematics and am working on my second degree in Engineering. I have tutored for over 10 years and have a wealth of experience under my belt.

About the lesson

When working with a new student I typically gauge their unerstanding of a comcept first with practice problems. Then, based on what they do or don't know I proceed from there and build up a strong foundation.

I've worked with students as young as 7 years old all the way up to college level.
