During the day, I am a 9th grade math teacher for CCSD. I guarantee you that I can help you solve all of these concerns.

I am currently ranked in the top 100 in the world in mental math on mathtrainer.org, and I guarantee you that I can help you be fluent in mental math very quickly. I have successfully taught students of all ages and ability levels in all subjects of math up to Calculus, and I guarantee you that I can help you understand math in a deep way, not just get a good grade (although you will start getting As easily).

I love to tutor because it allows me the most freedom to instruct students in the way that will help them best. My unique approach works because I listen to my students and adapt the instruction to fit their very particular needs. I have developed lessons, examples, activities, worksheets, computer assignments, etc to help with not counting on fingers, learning the multiplication table, understanding fractions/decimals/percents, calculations on paper, understanding equations/tables/graphs in Algebra I and II, seeing the big picture of Geometry, and attacking weaknesses to be ready for PreCalculus and Calculus.

I have taught students who never went to elementary school, who do not speak English, who haven't been to school in 30 years, who swear they have a learning disability, and every single time, we discover that it comes down to not being taught the proper way. I work hard to be the best teacher I can be, and I love teaching students who, despite all their struggles, still want to be the best student in the class. I guarantee I will do what I can to help you reach that goal.
