About
My name is Amy and I am the Exceptional Children teacher. I am excited about the opportunity to work with you and your children and have the chance to teach and support your children in any way I can.
I would like to take this time to introduce myself and tell you a little about me. I’m a graduate of the University of Central Florida and I have my Masters and Bachelor’s degrees in Exceptional Student Education. I have been working in the field of education for over 20 years. I am a National Board Certified Teacher and have taught students in grades K-12, students with mild to severe disabilities, and students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. I am certified in the areas of special education K-12 and Elementary education K-6.
I love teaching and find it to be a very rewarding experience. It can be challenging at times, but my philosophy has always been that all students can learn; we as educators just need to find the best way to teach them.
I am excited about getting to know more about your child and working with them. I know with open communication and dialogue, together we can offer support and make this a successful experience.
