About Katelyn
I am a college student about to graduate in May. I have tutor before, and I have been the one being tutoring, so I know how it feels to need help, but I also know the rewards of helping others. I have a degree in Communications, and my Assosciates degree is in Biology. I look forward to helping your family get the best education that they can.

I got started teaching by tutoring people in my own classes, and then I started loving it from helping my sibilings learn after school, so I decided, why not help other people too?
I have a bachelors degree in Communications. I have an associates degree in Biology. I have been in school for a very long time, and I have taken enough credit hours to quailfy for substitute teaching, without an education degree.

My process is first getting to know the student, rather than diving into work, because the student needs to know that it is a safe space. Then, we will discuss the area of study that needs work and talk about what they don't understand to see key concepts that need to be worked on. Then, we will dive into working on those key concepts, for a better understanding of the subject matter.
I have worked with middle school, grade school, and high school students of all different education levels.
The advice I would give a student to hire a teacher in my area of experitise is: to really evaluate if you feel comfortable with them and if they are aware of all the different teaching and learning styles, if they don't teach compatiable with your learning style, it is probably best to move on to the next option.
