About Isaiah
I have built up several years of tutoring experience both at the high school level and at my undergrad's tutoring center. I am happy to tutor in almost all areas of mathematics (anywhere from high school algebra and test prep to undergraduate real analysis/ abstract algebra). I love watching students improve; I have something to offer whether you're looking for enrichment or if math has been a struggling point in your education.
I'm currently a mathematics PhD student at the University of South Carolina. I gradated with a mathematics and computer science degree in Dec 2022 from Belmont University.
I first started tutoring as a senior in high school for my peers in calculus.
I worked as a tutor for 3.5 years as an undergraduate and graduated with a bachelors in mathematics. I am currently a mathematics PhD student at UOSC.

I like to get a backstory of how the student's class has been going, what they have covered, and what they are covering currently. I typically ask the student to explain as much as they can to me about a subject in order to gauge their understanding. Then I can ask what they might be struggling with or are curious about.
High School and University students
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
It is very helpful if the student has already attempted some problems and has spend a little bit of time reflecting on what parts of problems they get stuck on. This allows the teacher to tailor better feedback and help the student more efficiently.
