About Troy

I make calculus less scary. I am a passionate teacher and learner, and I graduated valedictorian from New Tech High @ Coppell. I possess 2+ years of tutoring all high school math classes as well as Calculus 1 and 2 (the equivalent of AP Calculus BC/AB). My specialty lies within the conceptual understanding of calculus, which is what most learners struggle with when it comes to the subject. My goal is for you to not just understand what to do and how to do it, but also understand where these concepts come from. I also provide test preparation for the AP Calculus exams, in which I scored a 5 on both exams. I am very flexible with learner needs and accommodations, and I tailor lessons to each individual to meet their needs and goals. My driving factor for being a tutor/teacher is to make math less daunting whether you are a fan of the subject or not.
