About Kelvin
I am currently a sophomore from UC Berkeley studying computer science and applied math. I have been tutoring for two years since high school. I am also a computer science mentor at Berkeley. I provide math tutoring services for students from high school and middle school (algebra, geometry, precalculus, calculus, statistics, etc). I was a AIME qualifier during high school and was involved in various math competitions such as ARML.
I enjoy teaching something that I like, which is math. Witnessing a student improving is an amazing experience to me. My job is to help the student succeed as a person not as a student.
I started tutoring since high school because of my passion for math. I enjoy the process of sharing my knowledge to students and help them improve in this subject. I tutored precalculus and AP calculus BC.
I have been a computer science mentor at my school for two semesters and I am a mentor for CS70 (Discrete Math and Probability Theory), which is a computer science math class at Berkeley. I have also taken a class on teaching and have been tutoring various Berkeley students for a semester.

I personally create typed notes and worksheets for my students in order to tailor tutoring to each student. I also create slides that cover the content that I wish to go over with the student via zoom and work with them via an ipad using a whiteboard.
I have worked with various types of students, including slow and fast learners, ranging from middle schoolers to college students.
