About Gabrielle

My name is Gabrielle, have my associate degree in special education and over 7 years of experience with teaching and tutoring.

I teach a variety of subjects including, reading, writing, creative writing, math up through algebra, sewing, craft classes, literature, unit studies, and more.

I teach all students, and have 6 years of experience with special needs students. I believe that every child can learn, you just have to meet them where they are and be willing to teach the way that works for that child.

I charge $12 an hour for online private lessons, and $5-10 an hour for online group lessons depending on the subject and the number of students.

For in person lessons I will come to you or meet your at your local library, I charge $15 -20 an hour for private lessons depending on distance and $8-12 an hour for group lessons depending on distance and number of students.

I love working with children of all ages and abilities and helping them reach their full potential.

I graduated from the College of Southern Idaho in 2017 with my associate degree in special education.

I started teaching sewing lessons at the homeschool group I attended in high school and I have been teaching since I was 17.

I have some Montessori training.

I am certified in first aid and CPR.

About the lesson

When I first start with a new student I like to have a meeting with their parent to discuss what their concerns and main goals are for their student.

My next step is to get to know the student, learn where they are and find out how they learn best. No two students are the same and their for a different approach is needed for each student. The guiding principle of my teaching method is always to follow the child and let them show me what they need.
