About Aydan

What excites me the most are the "aha" moments from students.

I enjoy working with topics surrounding Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics. I graduated from Kaiser High School in the IB Career Related Programme with a 4.18 GPA. Some classes I took in the STEM fields are IB Computer Science HL, IB Biology HL, and AP calculus. My career pathway for the program was Engineering. I have also taken AP English Language/Composition. I have received an A in all of my classes for all 4 years of high school.

My intent is to help you in whatever way I can in the subjects that you struggle in the most. Whether it's fundamentals and "silly" questions to larger topics with a wide scope, I'm here to help.

I am mainly available via phone call or online meetings, and I have a system of sharing my screen and working through some problems that I write out. If you've seen Khan Academy, it's very similar to that.

Just started and I'm very eager to help.

I graduated from Kaiser High School with the IB career related diploma. I have recieved A's in all of my classes since freshman year including my college level classes(IB Bio HL, IB Comp Sci HL, AP lang, AP Calculus).

About the lesson

First, I would have a 30min long discussion about what their needs are in whatever subject(s) they are currently struggling in. The time span depends on how much they want to talk or whatever questions I have.

Mainly I've worked with high school students, but I'm also really interested in helping those from grades 5-8.

Make sure you know that you connect well with your tutor so the tutoring sessions are productive.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Ask yourself if it is something you really need help with/can’t do it by yourself, and try your best to describe it or find the name of the topic to make it easier to communicate with your tutor.

Details

My standard rate is $20/hr for extended sessions that can go for 1hr+. 45 minutes would be $15. I also offer a free 30 minute consultation to figure out what your needs are specifically.
