About Jake
I currently attend Rowan University in New Jersey and am a Mathematics/Computer Science double major. While computer science is my primary focus, I have always been very good at math and specifically helping others with math. I scored a 790 out of 800 on the math section of my SAT in High School and continued to have success in math courses throughout college(3.91 GPA). This past semester I was a peer tutor for other college students mostly in statistics.
I have always just naturally enjoyed helping others with math work with most of it being helping my younger sister with her homework. All of the jobs I have held previously involved customers in some form and through those jobs I have learned how to be extremely patient. Regardless of math level I believe that I can help anybody learn more math and be more prepared for their future math courses.
I am currently in the third year of my Bachelors of Arts in Mathematics and have taken many lower and upper level math courses. In addition to that in high school I scored a 790 out of 800 on the math section of the SAT.

When working with a new student I have them explain to me what they know typically using a specific problem as a baseline. Then using that information I can teach them the core conepts behind that problem which will allow them to complete problems of a similar nature.
