About Isabella

I've been tutoring since freshman year of high school. Between helping peers before a test and hosting review sessions where I would re-teach a lesson, it has never been out of the ordinary to find myself giving some kind of review, guidance, or help.

I am a current political science and business major on the Pre-Law track at the University of Florida. I have been tutoring for four years in English, math, Spanish, and the humanities.

I completed the the International Baccalaureate program for 4 years and throughout my high school career, I took 7 Advanced Placement courses and passed all with A's. In addition to excelling in my AP classes, I passed all AP tests and performed especially well in AP Government, AP US History, AP European History, AP Spanish Language and AP Environmental Science.

About the lesson

Before my session with my student, I always make sure to lay out a study plan for their tutoring time. This consists of asking what kind of tutoring help they need (homework, test review, lesson recap, etc.). From there, I ask the student to send me any specific word problems, prompts or concepts that are giving them trouble; this way, I can maximize the time during the session to focus on the student's needs.

I have mostly worked with high school and middle school students.

Make sure your teacher caters to your needs! Make the subjects that you're unsure about known to your tutor.

The goal of any teacher should be to maximize the time they have with you and make sure you go back to class confident in your abilities.
