About Jessica
I have experience teaching 2nd-4th grade math for seven years as a whole brain teacher. I am passionate about students not only learning math but changing their mindset that math is not scary. I use hands on math tools, strategies that help learners of all levels and even those with learning disabilities, and identify gaps to fill then build on. I love teaching and am excited to continue teaching, just in a different environment.
I love building rapport with students and parents while building confidence of a child. Every individual has different needs and I love adapting instruction to fit learner needs with a creative approach in lessons.

I begin by identifying any learning gaps through conversation with parents, students, teachers (if willing), and data collection. From there, we come up with a plan together and set goals to reach. Throughout, I use informal assessments and observations to guide my instruction and check progress for goals.
