About Amy

I am willing to work with all levels of students and adhere to whatever needs you may have. I will always make sure that you understand the coursework but also have fun doing it. I really enjoy math and I promise that you will also learn to enjoy math too.

I really enjoy helping people understand how math can be applied in the world. Teaching people new ways of looking at math is also something that makes me happy. Math can seem very complex, but it's just the opposite because there is always an answer. Math is simply problem-solving.

My cousin was having some trouble in his math class so I started doing his math homework with him every day after school. I also began to prepare him for quizzes and tests, bringing his grade from a D to an A. Then I started tutoring another family member and before I knew it I was helping tons of students.

I have worked with many students in the past from my hometown. I always tutored students in math and I believe that I am the best at tutoring math compared to other subjects. I also am a college student who has taken many math courses including business calculus and accounting.

About the lesson

I always start slow when working with new students to better understand the best way that they learn. After I analyze that, I will be able to apply all of my knowledge into their lesson. I also want them to understand that I am always willing to go at their own pace, while also getting the work done.

I have worked with both male and female students ranging from 5th-10th grade.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I think students should always have a tutor who goes at their pace and makes sure you understand the work before moving on. Find a tutor that teaches you the way you needed to be taught, whether it be using visuals or coming up with scenarios for you to understand.
