About Clyde
Hi there! I am an elementary music teacher in Dallas ISD! Although I teach music, I am also working as a math and reading interventionist throughout my campus. As a math and reading interventionist, I work with students either in small groups (3-5) students or one-on-one.
As an educator, I pride myself on engagement and establishing a positive environment for student learning!
The greatest aspect of being an educator is seeing the growth that students exhibit and the positive relationships that I build with them!
No matter how big or small students grow, it's a huge accomplishment that is to be celebrated on their path of learning! It is important to nourish and promote the learning to our youth to a certain standard but in a way, they can comprehend!

I take a concept and ask them everything they know about the subject matter (division, knowledge about the treble clef) and I observe their work. This is me assessing their knowledge of the topic to understand their knowledge regarding the matter. I never want to make them feel like they are incompetent regarding the subject matter. It is my job to fill in and gaps and promote learning!
