About Jean

About Me:

I am a Civil Engineer and Full Stack Web Developer with many years of experience in the Armed Forces of my country. My native language is Spanish, and I also speak English and German (I'm living in Berlin). I specialize in making mathematics, programming, and Spanish understandable and engaging. My experience in university education and team training allows me to tailor my lessons to the individual needs of each student, ensuring effective and motivating learning.

Why Choose Me as Your Tutor?

As your tutor, I offer a unique and personalized learning experience. With my fluency in several languages and a practical, personalized approach, I will guide you through the challenges of mathematics, programming, or the Spanish language, transforming each lesson into an adventure of discovery and success. Whether it's strengthening your math skills, unraveling the mysteries of programming, or mastering Spanish, I am here to support you at every step of your educational journey.

My teaching journey began at the university, where I taught as part of my duties in the Armed Forces. I discovered a passion for sharing knowledge and helping others understand complex subjects. This led me to expand my teaching to include mathematics, programming, and Spanish outside the military context.

I hold a degree in Civil Engineering and have extensive training as a Full Stack Web Developer. Additionally, my experience in the Armed Forces has honed my leadership and teaching skills. I continuously update my knowledge in mathematics, programming, and language education to ensure my teaching methods are current and effective.

When I start with a new student, my first step is to understand their learning goals, strengths, and areas for improvement. I conduct an initial assessment to gauge their current level and then tailor my teaching approach to fit their unique learning style. This includes setting clear objectives, providing customized lesson plans, and incorporating interactive and engaging teaching methods.

I have worked with a diverse range of students, including university students, professionals seeking to enhance their technical skills, and individuals learning Spanish as a second language. My students vary in age, background, and learning objectives, which has enriched my experience as an educator.

When looking for a teacher in mathematics, programming, or language learning, seek someone who not only has the technical expertise but also the ability to teach engagingly and understandably. Look for a teacher who tailors their approach to your learning style and can provide practical, real-world examples.

Recently, I organized an online coding workshop for beginners. It was incredibly rewarding to see participants from various backgrounds come together, engage with the material, and leave with a newfound interest in programming. Their enthusiasm and progress were truly inspiring.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Before approaching a teacher, students should consider their specific goals, the areas they struggle with, and what they hope to achieve through the lessons. It's also helpful to think about their preferred learning style, any past experiences with the subject, and their availability for lessons. This information will help the teacher create a more personalized and effective learning plan.
