About Shahnoor

I have more than 10 years of teaching experience. My goal is make Math fun to learn. I motivate students to do the best they can do becuase Math is used everywhere and whether you go college or university to select art or medical or engineeing, math will be part of your studies. It is important to acquire the basic mathematical skills.

Interacting with students, motivating them and seeing where they are going with their studies.

I started early in my life. I was teaching when I was in school because I was good in learning on my own by reading "teach yourself books".

I work 6 years teaching Physics lab to students at UTA and one year at Queen's University in Kingston, Canada. I was teaching Math three and half years at MTGK, Inc. From year 2014, I am teaching Physics at North lake college.

About the lesson

I find out what the student already knows by asking simple questions and then look at the book the student is supposed to follow. Finally I make lesson plans accordingly.

I am teaching at North Lake College so whatever students I get, I teach.

At MTGK, I was teaching from grade 1 to grade 8. I can teach Math at college level too.

Take more than one class to determine whether the teacher is a good fit for you.

I am teaching lab and this time I worked hard to make sure that they learn the skill of report writing. I see a lot of improvements but mostly I am happy that they do the lab much more acurately (uncertainty less than 10%) than I did.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
They should think what they want from the teacher and how much they are willing to work. They are different tools that can be used to improve your math. For example, ixl or Khan Academy. Find out more about the tools your instructor will be using.
