About Aris

1) I teach for nearly free (just enough to cover my costs)!

2)I aim to work specifically to my students' specific needs. This includes finding weaknesses in a student's education to tailoring my teaching style to my students.

3) I am a motivated college-bound student who is more likely to understand the struggles you/your student is going through than an adult who hasn't been in public schooling for a long time.

4) I have a 4.1 GPA and took mostly IB/AP classes. I took AP classes early before other students at my level had access. I also took a college course (yes, an actual college course)!

I like seeing our world become a better place because of people who are better educated. Education solves most problems in the world and, I, by proxy, help solve those problems by empowering students.

I taught a chess club at my charter school when I was in middle school because I was good at chess and the school asked me to. From there on, I became a passionate instructor who loves to help students.

I am a current molecular, cellular, and developmental biology major at the University of Colorado Boulder. I have a long history of education and I want to be a teacher in the future. I have a background in mathematics and all disciplines of science. I currently teach a lab section as an undergraduate teaching assistant and am a research assistant in a lab that focuses on enhancing science education.

About the lesson

First, I will meet with them on Zoom (or in person) and talk with them to get to know them. I will ask them about their learning style and the areas they are having trouble in, to best serve them.

Next, I will create a simple pre-test to further analyze where the student is having trouble in, and to ensure I do not teach them things they already know (I won't waste your money)!

Once that is finished, we will schedule times where we meet and go over content using research-backed teaching methods to deliver the content as quickly and deeply as possible. You/your student will be on track in no time!

A whole range of elementary and middle schoolers, including family. I also tutor my high school colleagues who are struggling, mainly in chemistry and mathematics.

Find a teacher who truly cares about your education. That teacher will help you learn at your level instead of expect you to learn at their level.

What are my weaknesses? Why am I struggling? Am I trying as hard as I can?

Do not be shy to have this discussion with your tutor. You/your student will receive a much better experience if you/they do this.
