About Kaitlyn

As a tutor, my service stands out by accomplishing what is needed through a well-mannered, kind, and upbeat session. I never let something get the best of me, and if I can't teach something or help with something right from the beginning, I learn it better and present it the next time or at the same time.

I enjoy meeting new people and being able to answer questions. I am a tutor at the college I am currently attending and have received certification through the instituition. As well, I enjoy proving that age is not a concern or a set-back when you are determined to help people.

I got my start through the community college I was attending at the time. An advisor for a program approached me and asked if I would like to be hired on as a tutor due my high grades and organizations of study groups.

I am currently in my 3rd year of college. I take classes all three available semesters of the year in order to keep my knowledge up and gain knowledge to continue tutoring with. My certifications are awarded through the institution I currently attend and training from the same place as well. I have been a tutor for 2 years now and have done extensive sessions and various different subject related sessions.

About the lesson

A typical process for me when working with a new student is to make sure the student is comfortable. When a student is feeling another other than confortable, their ability to learn is dampened. As well, I always make sure to determine a pace. Some students learn faster and some student need a moment. Neither level is bad, we just all have our individual paces that need to be respected.

I have worked with students of various personalities and abilities. As well, I have worked with students that English is not their first language or have other learning barriers that might make learning a little more difficult for them.

I would advise students to look for someone who you are comfortable with. For students to succeed and retain the knowledge, they must first be comfortable with the person.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I believe any question is a good question. Therefor, if a question is ever brought up or comes to mind, do not be afraid to ask. There are not wrong questions or "stupid" questions. We do not learn by accepting and moving on.

Details

My standard pricing system is as simple as possible. I do not tutor for the income, but solely because I love helping students with their ability to succeed in school. Therefor, I only charge $10 an hour with each student. If an hour is not completed, then it will still be charged of $10.
