About Amy
Math can be fun, and it's my goal in every lesson to help my students enjoy and see the cool side of math.
I love learning all the different ways to solve the same problem. Learning from each other to find the best way to understand new concepts makes me happy. I love helping students finally have that "I get it!" moment.
I started tutoring as part of my volunteer hours during high school.
I've been tutoring students in math for over 5 years. I have a degree in Mathematics from Friends University where I graduated in the top 5% of my class.

To start, we figure out the key concepts that are most difficult to understand and we work on problems in those fields. We'll go over many different views of the problem until we find what makes the most sense to the student. Everyone learns different and my goal is to pinpoint their learning style so we can start to work out the problems!
I've helped students from 5th grade up through college calculus. My favorite subjects are algebra and geometry!

I charge $25 an hour for online tutor sessions. Usually, we'll meet for an hour, but sometimes I can stay longer if we have some harder homework.
