About Tabitha Diane
I enjoy helping students understand work that confuses them. I am currently a junior in college working towards my Bachelor's in Elementary Education. Additionally, I was recenty a K-2 tutor at a school in the Gaston County School District.

I generally like to let a student know that help is available and allow them to initiate the need for help. I want them to get comfortable with working with me and I will ask or offer to let them know the help is available. I tend to supervise the lesson they are working on, and if I see that they appear to be stuck, then I offer help. However, this process would vary with age/grade level and maturity.
I have worked with students doing virtual learning and students in a physical school building. I have tutored some K-2 grade students and a couple of 8th grade students.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should check to see if they have particular questions pertaining to a problem they do not understand. If they can pinpoint what they do not understand, then maybe they have partial understanding that can be used as a building block. It can also save time if the tutor is not retelling them information they already know and leave more time for the academic aspect (s) they are struggling with.
