About Charlotte
My passion is meeting people where they are in understanding math, building their confidence to crush barriers, and assisting them in reaching their academic goals.
I have been in the field of education for 23 years. My journey began in 1994 with homeschooling our four children, each with a unique learning style. The next phase was as a student tutor for Yuba Community College where I earned two Associate degrees (Accounting and Business Administration). Upon graduating, I was hired as a Tutoring Center Specialist there.
While working, I earned my bachelor’s degree in educational studies with Western Governors University (February 2020). This led to a job as a Middle School Math teacher for two years. I resigned from this position much to my principal’s dismay. But I knew I could serve students better in small or individual group settings.
Currently, I am a substitute teacher for our local school district which allows me to be a part of our educational community. However, I still miss the direct support that tutoring allows. So, here I am ready to serve you and/or your child to overcome obstacles and achieve academic success in mathematics (4th grade Fractions-Algebra).
