About Rae

With over 5 years of tutoring experience and a Princeton University degree in Architecture and Computer Science, I offer the high-quality instruction and mentorship your student needs during these troubling times. I work with middle schoolers and high schoolers and have experience supporting youth with intense social and learning challenges.

I bring rigor, authenticity, and empathy to the table to help my students not only increase test scores and grades but also develop a love for learning. I also take a creative lens to each student’s education, because no one method works for each person and it often takes a combination of imagination and proven techniques to encourage effective learning.

I specialize in the following topics:

Even back in high school, I found joy in working with my peers through an after school tutoring club I founded. Since then I've made tutoring a part of my life no matter what else I'm doing. I've found that there is nothing more uplifting than seeing the spark of understanding in another person's eyes.

I worked for four years at the Princeton Learning Cooperative where I supported middle and high school students in math, standardized test prep, and American Sign Language. I have also worked at the prestigious Princeton Tutoring.

About the lesson

When working with a new student, I try to hone in on what they want to accomplish in our tutoring sessions. I was trained in an environment centered around self-driven learning, and I encourage my students to take their education into their own hands to pursue what is meaningful to them.

I have experience working with age groups from 8 all the way to 21 years old, but specialize in working with 6th-12th graders. I have experience working with students grappling with various social and learning disorders, and tailor my mode of instruction to each student's learning needs.
