About George
I have taught and tutored students since 2007. I have taught high school and in the City colleges of Chicago. I have taught foundational studies math to second semester calculus and differential equations. I am familar with all the technology that is used for math education smart boards and graphing tools such as desmos. I have a masters degree in math education. I am nationally certified math tutor.
I enjoy helping students understand and appreciate mathematics. I find it rewarding when the students succeed.
I started teaching because I wanted to help students.

I become familiar with the specific issues and challenges that the student is facing. Then I work with the student to both answer their math questions and to build their confidence in problem solving.
I have worked with all types of students from adult learners trying to earn their GED certificate to young engineers studying mult-variable calculus.
Be prepared and be clear on what problems are causing the most confusion.
