About David
Retired Electrical Engineer who majored in both Physics and Electrical Engineering at both the undergraduate and graduate level at MIT and Stanford. Looking forward to helping the next generation with Math and Science . I started tutoring Math to middle school students when I was in high school and I was a tutor with the Tutoring Plus program when I was in college. I have 4 grown children that I have tutored in Math and Science throughout high school and college. I have have previous teaching experience at the college level. I am currently tutoring on two other online platforms in Math and Science.
I enjoy one on one teaching and I customize our sessions to the students needs. Math is my favorite subject to teach but I can also help students with Physics and Chemistry. My teaching method is to review the subject matter and then to work through a few examples with the student. I am always asking the student to participate in working the example by asking them questions along the way. My favorite place to do this is at the whiteboard where we work together back and forth as we arrive at the solution.
I want to benefit the students I work with as much as possible so I welcome any resources or suggestions students or parents can provide. I am easy to reach and will provide a fast response. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a session.
