About Michael
I have been teaching for 7 years and tutoring for 3. Tutoring is the part that I really love. I enjoy building relationships with students and helping them achieve their goals. I am flexible with schedule and needs.
Tutoring is my favorite part of education because the relationship I get to build with students and their families is unique. It fosters a connection that goes beyond the classroom and is far more rewarding and effective in aiding student learning.
I have my bachelor's degree in mathematics. I have also been teaching math for 7 years and tutoring for 4.

The first thing I do is work to build a relationship. Students tend to work better with teachers that they know care about them and their goals. The next step is to determine what underlying issues there are. Math is a subject that builds on itself. Any gaps in the basics of algebra have make more advanced topics more difficult. Filling these gaps is essential.
