About Hannah
I LOVE math! I graduated from college with a statistcs degree, and while in college I was a teachers aid for college algebra, and also was a tutor at the college.
I also tutored high school students on the side.
I have an actuarial math degree, and I also have a business finance degree and have been running my own online clothing business for 5 years, and I just miss doing some math! So I am hoping to tutor a few times a week to get my math kick in!
I just loved math and I also have a great way of explaining it to others.
I was a math tutor in college for 4 years. I was also a teachers aide for college algebra, helping students when they needed and grading all of the homework.

Working with a new student, I would want to know where you are at in your learning. What you are struggling with and how your brain functions. Then I can help you to understand and grasp what the particular concept you are struggling with is.
I have worked with all ages of students. I used to nanny through college as well, so I helped younger students with elementery mathematics as well as high schoolers, and college students.
I would tell them to make sure that if they are not understanding how the teacher is teaching from the very beginning, then to find someone else. Not everyone is going to work with your brain and help you to understand. Especially for math, you really need to get the basics down and be able to build on that foundation in order to succeed.

Be sure you are open to learning, and that you don't just want the answers to things. You need to be able to construct a nice basis for math and work up from there.
