About Sara

I’m currently employed as a IT contractor for IBM, and I work with a lot of common applications including Microsoft Office Suite, Sharepoint, Mainframes etc. My teaching/tutoring style is very "hands on", I take the time to go over each issue and problem. This includes using visuals as well as having the student write out or perform the problem themselves.

I got started after I began working for IBM, I discovered that I was able to help a lot of co-workers with their issues and decided that I wanted to help students do the same.

I currently work for one of the largest companies in the world IBM, I perform IT services for anthem Healthcare. This revolves around basic computer troubleshooting such as clearing cache and cookies. But also to the more advanced troubleshooting including running diagnostics, program repairs and manual installs.

About the lesson

My typical process with new students is to get to know them and their learning style before attempting tutoring. I like to know how they think and try to align with tha as it makes everything that much easier.

I have worked mostly with Computer Science students, though I have also worked with general students as well.

You should feel comfortable with them and they should be able to help without too much hesitation. Lessons should be quick, under an hour in my opinion but there are occasions where you may need more than an hour depending on the subject and or assignment.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Have I exhausted all other efforts; such as I've looked through my text book and canno fins what I am looking for.

As well as I've gone through my notes but am still unsure of how to proceed.

Am I willing listen to someone who may have a different approach than my teacher/professor.
