About Megan

My services stand out because I'm closer in age, so I understand how to relay information in a way that appeals to the students.

I have 4 adult certifications in the following Microsoft Office Products: PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Word

I've indulged in the art of calligraphy and note-taking, so I can relay the material in an organized, and aesthetically pleasing manner.

I'm more than happy to teach and offer my services to willing students. I'm eccentric, kind, and patient— all of which will benefit your experience.

I enjoy being able to help out my peers while I work; giving back to the community is a worthwhile process. I really love being able to help students learn and grow as they continue in life.

I'm very goal-oriented. I believe in a growth mindset, and I enjoy being able to teach that to others who are willing. Watching students flourish with knowledge and skills makes my heart blossom with happiness.

I am deeply pleased in being able to incorporate STEAM into each lesson— because every subject relates to another. This makes my content and material understandable, regardless of your preferred subject.

About the lesson

The student and I will arrange a set time to meet. Inconsistency is accepted, but not preferred.

The first session is a "get-to-know-you" sort of introduction. The student and I will sit down and discuss key information (such as preferred study methods, favourite subject, etc.) Goals will be talked about, and then established. The student and I will go over content concerns, and establish an academic schedule suited to their needs.

When looking for a tutor, you should consider the following, from a student's perspective:

• Do their teaching styles suit my academic needs?

• What kind of energy do I want to feel from my tutor? (Do I want someone bubbly, calm, funny, etc..?)

• Financial Constraints?

• Complimenting schedule?

In the end, these services are here for the student. Make sure to prioritize your needs first. We can worry about external factors later, as long as you are accommodated.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Some questions that students should think through before talking to tutors about their needs are:

• What are my goals? Long-term or short-term?

• What is my preferred method of learning? Do I prefer visual, auditorial, or both?

• What am I willing to do to get what I need? Are there any constraints?

Details

Prices will vary depending on the subject, term, and intensity of sessions. If the student wants more of a vigorous learning curriculum session, then the price will increase.

My base fee is $15 PER SESSION.

Again, pricing will vary.

I am willing to negotiate and accommodate based on individual needs.
