About Alyssa
Hello all! I am a certified General and Special Education Teacher in New York. I recently graduated from college and currently am in my master's program. I am excited to meet you and help you with any subject you need!
I have always wanted to teach ever since I was young. I find that inspiring the young mind to be life-long learners is something that i always wanted to do!
I am currently working as a full-time teacher during the day. I have also graduated from St. Joseph's College, and attend St. John's University for my masters.

When working with a new student it is all about what they need. I will have the student explain to me their interests, strengths, and needs. I will then have then student bring what they need to the table and we will figure out how to best support!
I have worked with general and special education students of all levels.
I would tell the student that they must feel comfortable with their teacher in order to learn. Finding the best teacher to help you will be one that takes into consideration your strengths, needs, and interests to make the lessons fun!
One recent event that I was fond of was when all of my students passed my first math quiz! It was exciting to see their smiling faces and my own!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should always self-evaluate. Students should be able to look at the problem they are having and see what they could do to possibly fix it, then ask a teacher.
