About Jose
I am a recent graduate of UC Berkeley with a degree in Computer Science, and am working as a Data Engineer at Facebook.
I have always been passionate about math, having tutored in many different levels, from Pre-Algebra to Multivariable Calculus.

I have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. During my time at Berkeley, I took many courses that have solidifed my knowledge of math, including:

I will first talk with students to get an understanding of which topics are most confusing to them, then I will base my tutoring on understanding the fundamental principles and intuition behind these topics, as opposed to rote memorization of formulas.
Once the student has developed an intuition for a concept, then I will run through practice problems, homework problems or sample exam questions to practice solving these sorts of problems.
I have worked with students from many socioeconomic, ethnic and racial backgrounds.
