About Jaimie

Hi, my name is Jaimie Hawkes. I am a private math tutor in Natrona County, for all levels, including college/hire education levels. I've been tutoring since 2019 under my business, CrazyWise Tutoring. Find reviews on my Facebook page. Text (concealed information)

My personal belief and theory for teaching and learning is centered at the heart of laughter and fun! Yes, math can actually be FUN! I believe that any math problem, or equation, can be solved by using multiple methods or techniques. I like to offer my students new approaches for concepts they may struggle with and ultimately let my student decide which is easiest to understand.

I've been teaching since 2018, I taught preschoolers ages 4-5. Then I was hired on with Natrona County School District as classified staff, where I assisted in the 8th grade classes. I soon realized that not only is teaching my passion, but I am pretty good at teaching math. After 3 years assisting, I made the decision to further my own mathematics education, because I wanted to teach those higher levels such as Calculus and Probability and Statistics.

I am currently a senior undergraduate at Western Governors University where I'm studying for my Bachelors of Sciences in Secondary Mathematics. I'm excited because I'm learning higher level Mathematics and can now help other students, of all levels, become successful and confident in their abilities to understand and solve complex Mathematics!

I decided that I was not getting my teaching certification with my "teaching " degree because I desire to work one on one, or in small groups, with the students who have been told they are not adequate to pass their math courses. One of my techniques to help these study become success, even if they've failed the last several classes, because I focus on helping my students build up their self confidence and to help them see their true potential.

Just because you might not understand that one lesson, does not mean you should accept this as your truth. I believe in you, and I know I can help you reach your learning goals.
