About Jennifer

Hello! I have been teaching in the public school system for the last 20 years. I can teach all main academic subjects from kindergarten through 8th grade, as well as computer science. I can't wait to help your student improve their understanding!!

I love helping students understand concepts that are difficult. I look forward to seeing students' eyes light up when they finally understand. I enjoy seeing their confidence build as they finally understand something that had previously been confusing.

About the lesson

When I acquire a new student, I first spend time with the parents/guardians trying to understand their reasoning for wanting tutoring for their student. Then I spend time working with the student to determine what skills they already have, as well as where they feel they are having difficulty. From there, I will build their academic program.

Mrs. Pelfrey is amazing! She helped my
son understand concepts he was struggling with and helped to build his confidence! His grades improved as a result of both! Her lessons were so engaging that he enjoyed working with her. She was always prepared and was flexible with scheduling. I highly recommend Mrs. Pelfrey if your child is struggling in any subject area.
