About Alan
My business stands out because I truly enjoying seeing your success and the "Ah-ha!" moments when the concept kicks in. Building an Intutive understanding of mathematics / statistics is the foundation to improving your math instincts.
I have tutored young children all through high school, have been employed to tutor mathematics in college, and was involved in Data Science Education in the Data Science Socety UC Berkeley.
I've spent countless hours paid and un-paid tutoring my peers in tutoring because I truly enjoy it.
I volunteered at the Camarillo Library Homework Tutoring Center for K-8 level students. I really enjoyed working their after school and thats when I learned that I value tutoring.
I myself did not excel in my studies until I had a great tutor who invested in my education, beyond just getting the problems done, and after we worked through the fundamental concepts that I lacked, I flourished on my own.
I received my Degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of California - Berkeley. I have formal training from different on campus tutoring positions.
I also have training to tutor young children when I was volunteer homework coach at my local library in High School.
I practice the Socratic Questioning style of tutoring and teaching.
