About Kathy
I have been teaching mathematics for more than 30 years. I have a MA in Mathematics from the University of MIchigan. I am trained in the Everyday Math curriculum (Elementary) and Connected Mathematics 3 (CMP3) for MIddle School. I know that all yong people have the ability to learn math at the highest level!
I enjoy helping students work through mistakes and help them see that by revising these mistakes, they are taking their brains to the highest level of functioning with a positive mindset.
I have been a math teacher for 25 years.
I have a Master's degree in both in Special Education and Math.

I like to spend a little time getting to know each child as an individual. I will spend some time with the student reviewing what they feel are the positives and negatives about doing math. I will also ask questions to determine their learning style.
I have worked with students in grade 4 - 8 both in Special Education and Math
