About Venus

I have tutored students in Basic Math, Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I understand these subjects are challenging so I am patient and try work with the strengths of each student. I have participated in mentoring programs for children in engineering and science careers through science fair, STEM contest and educational demonstrations. United States of America (US) Air Force (AF) Officer (Civil Engineer) (5/2001–7/2009); Over 8 years of planning, construction and design experience as a lead engineer and project manager. Managed over 150 projects totaling $3B of design/construction projects in the US, Korea, Africa, and Afghanistan. Lead construction program manager for eight new military locations in Afghanistan responsible for planning and negotiations with local/international officials and acquisitions of all life-sustaining facilities such as eight new wastewater treatment facilities.

o USAF Water and Wastewater Subject Matter Expert (Civil Engineer) (11/2010-10/2014), Tyndall AFB, FL. As Air Force Lead Water and Wastewater system subject matter expert, Venus authored/co-authored over 45 Department of Defense design standards, co-authored three commercial industry publications and was the Air Force lead for Utility Infrastructure programs and policies.

o USAF Civil Engineer Center, Alaskan Water Program Manager (4/2017–12/2017), Joint Base Elemendorf-Richardson, AK. Oversaw the Water Quality program for all Air Force Alaskan locations.

o PhD in Environmental Engineering (12/2017-5/2021)

o M.S. in Environmental Engineering (12/2002–12/2004); University of North Dakota, Grand Forks.

o B.S. in Environmental Engineering (6/1998–6/2001); USAF Academy, CO.

I have a BS, MS, PhD and Professional Engineer license in Environmental engineering. My educationa and experience has provided me skills in math, sciences, chemistry and data processing.
