About Amiah
Hello! My name is Amiah. I am a senior at Eastern Connecticut State University, I will be graduating with a BA and math and staring a grad program for secondary (7-12) education.
i have in class experience in grads 6th-9th and was a teacher's assistant at ECSU for Precalculus and Calculus.
I enjoy working with students not only to get to the correct answer but to also help make the exploration process fun! My goal is to make math easier and more enjoyable.
My love for teaching started at a very young age as did my love for math. By the 10th grade I was always trying to help my friends and siblings with their work. The more I learned about math and how exciting the exploration process is that's when I knew for sure I wanted to teach.

I typically will give students a problem or two to work on while I'm watching. The first one I will have them do on their own and the second one I ask them to talk me through their process. This makes it easier for me to find which areas they excel in and which they need assistance.
