About Elbars

Throughout my high school days, I have always tutored in math. Being the president of our Mu Alpha Theta club meant I had to set examples for other students and be the leader. I have always stayed late to make sure students, who had trouble with math, understood their problems, got ready for any upcoming exams, and had a clear goal of what to do on their own. On the new SAT math section, I have scored 720 out of 800. I have had A's in every single course I have taken. 4. 5 GPA. After high school, I took a gap year to pursue photography. After, I applied to the University of Maryland College Park pursuing a degree in mathematics. I have worked at Studio 531 for a year until the pandemic happened. I designed many lesson plans tailored to each student. I have increased SAT score by 200 points on average. Many students of mine have successfully passed their CLEP exam as well. I am available for remote tutoring! First session free!!

Sure, I get paid for teaching you the stuff that you can look up online. But that is not actually what you are paying for. Teachers just give you the information. Tutors help you understand it. We are here to serve you. I make the lessons fun and interesting that the students want to come back just to have a conversation. I have been through the process of getting stuck on a topic, looking up online but still not understand it. I look back at those times and wish that if there were someone like me to guide me, I might have become a physicist!

I have been tutoring since high school. I have worked at a tutoring center for almost a year. I am a junior pursuing a mathematics degree.

About the lesson

Before our first session, I will send you a test based on your grade or specific subject. On that same test, I will have personal questions for you which will help me understand you better. I will grade the pre-test. I will then come up with a lesson plan based on the test for our first session.
