About Dr Luiza

Atomic Tae Kwon Do in Huntington serves the community for almost 13 years. It specializes in Martial Arts and Self-Defense Classes for Tiny Tots, Children and Adults.

Our Curriculum was developed by Martial Artists, Psychologists and Therapists to provide very age and skills specific learning.

As per Dr. Luiza (a Manager of a facility): “It is important to understand that Martial Arts is “A way of life." A human being can achieve Health and Happiness by developing all three indispensable components: Healthy Body, Mind and Spirit.

Our students benefit their training in regards to:

-Safety Tools (including both Environmental Awarness and Physical Skills),

-Dynamic/Physical Skills for Healthy Body,

-Intellectual Skills for Healthy Mind

-Emotional Skills and Breathing Techniques for Healthy Spirit.

The curriculum facilitates success in academics, workplace and social environments by building variety of skills such as: Confidence, Concentration, Technique and Quality, Control, Balance, Coordination, and Teamwork to name a few."

Additionally, Atomic Tae Kwon Do organizes Anti-Bullying Workshops for Community, Self-Defense Seminars for Women, Police, Firefighters, EMTs, Paramedics as well as Free School Talks on subjects of Perseverance, "I Can Do it" Attitude, Respect, and Anti-Bullying.

Master Bart, 5th degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and 2nd degree Black Belt in Jiu-Jitsu. In 2013 was elected a Vice-President of NY State Tae Kwon Do Federation. Master Bart has 43 years of experience in Martial Arts as well as 28 years of experience in geriatrics and 8 years in early intervention working as a Licensed Occupational Therapist. Inducted to National "Metropolitan Who's Who in America for his unique approach and success on the field, has been featured on national TV in numerous Martial Arts programs and Seminars.

Dr. Luiza, 4th degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and 2nd degree Black Belt in Jiu-Jitsu, also holds a Doctorate Degree in musical arts. On top of instructing Martial Arts for the past 13 years, she has also been teaching at Stony Brook, Hofstra and Adelphi Universities and touring internationally giving Lectures and Concerts. She is an author of essays and articles dealing with subjects such as: Affect of music on development of human brain; Utilizing Philosophy of Martial Arts in everyday life. Her essay about the influence of Tae Kwon Do on her own life won the 2009 Participation Award at Tae Kwon Do Essay Contest organized by the Korean Embassy in the United States, and was published in both Korean and English languages.

About the lesson

To begin, a student benefits a Trial.

In case of Children, one-on-one lesson with orientation is set up first to help child feel confident and comfortable by connecting with one person first before being invited to a group class.

All students are training in age specific groups to develop skills based on their Physical, Intellectual, Social, and Emotional needs.

Separate program for adults mixes Tae Kwon Do, Jiujitsu and Arnis to provide both Dynamic training, Self-Defense and Fitness/ Cardio Strength.
