About Ray
Coach Ray White has began his martial arts training in Moo Duk Kwan Tang Soo Do as a young man. In 1998 he began training in Filipino Martial Arts, Muay Thai and Jeet Kune Do at the esteemed Minnesota Kali Group. After studying and teaching at the MKG for more than 10 years, he coached the very successful MnSU / Mankato MMA team at Minnesota State University for 5 years. Since relocated back to his home state of Michigan Coach Ray has been teaching, coaching and training students and amateur and professional combat athletes in a true Mixed Martial Arts curriculum for fun, fitness and competition.
I began teaching at my original martial arts school back in the early 2000s after training consistently for 4-5 years under some of the best national and international instructors and coaches.

Interview to determine your goals, current experiences and fitness. Then set up a training plan to help you reach your goals.
I have worked with mostly highschool, college, and professional people looking for fitness and fun. I have also trained several amateur and pro fighters and have cornered hundreds of fights in the last decade.
When looking for a coach look at one that is capable of teaching at your level. What is good for beginners is not the same for advanced athletes. Also I find personality and mentality compatibility is important. A great athlete doesn’t guarantee a great coach. Teaching is a skill of its own. Find someone who has experience teaching.

Pruvate lessons start at $150 an hour and can be split among two people. Larger groups can be accommodated based on the number of parties.
