About Melissa
I am a certified elementary and special education teacher with over 10 years experience teaching grades K-8. I have taught all 4 core subjects- reading, math, history, and science. Most recently I taught 5th and 6th grade reading, history, and math. I have my Master’s degree in special education and have worked with a wide variety of student populations. I am committed to student success and believe strongly in the importance of a positive attitude and frequent feedback/reinforcement to boost student confidence! I love the opportunity to meet students where they are as a tutor and see individual growth by building a rapport with students and finding creative ways to share content. I can’t wait to make a difference in your child’s academics!
