About Dawn
Hello! My name is Dawn, and I have over six years of classroom teaching experience working with students in grades K-12, along with a background in English, Social Studies, Music, and Theater education. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and a Colorado teaching license in Secondary English and Social Studies.
When working with students, I focus on creating a supportive and encouraging environment where questions are welcomed and mistakes are viewed as opportunities to learn. Every student learns differently, and I take the time to understand each learner's strengths, challenges, and goals so I can tailor lessons to their individual needs.
Many of my students have included struggling learners, students with ADHD, and students on the autism spectrum. I understand that confidence plays a major role in academic success, and I strive to help students build both their skills and their self-belief.
Whether you need help improving reading comprehension, writing skills, study habits, organization, or understanding Social Studies concepts, I am committed to helping you succeed. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to develop the confidence and skills they need to become independent learners.
