About Kendal

I am a Music Education student in college and would love to help students with performance as well as vocal technique! I have been singing since I was six years old and specialize in musical theatre voice.

I got started teaching in high school when I was allowed to student conduct a choir. It really sparked a passion for teaching. Now, I am studying music education so I can teach for the rest of my life!

I have been singing for a long time and It truly is my passion. I study classical voice and musical theatre voice in college and I believe that I can use my skill to help others. I have trained in musical theatre voice and performance for 4 years and recently finalized in a national competition for it.

About the lesson

First I will have them talk about their goals. Setting realistic goals is a part of my process as a singer and I believe it helps create good habits and gives you something to work towards. Then they will sing the song and pinpoint the areas of difficulty. After that, the student and I will work on those difficult parts and train them to approach it in a different way.

I have worked with students as young as 7 years old. I have studied and observed in classrooms for two years and am ready to apply my knowledge to students of all ages.

You need to work at it for a while and really care in order to make change. That's definelty something I needed to learn for myself and it helped me become a better musician.

I recently got the opportunity to oreform a few songs for my school's faculty and my classmates. It was a great way to put everything I have been working at to use and I am incredibly proud of the way that I performed.

Details

Depending on the amount of time, I charge $15 for 30 minutes and $30 for an hour. Other times are available, and pricing is available upon request.
