About Erin

I was born and raised on a ranch and have never done anything else but cowboy and ranch work taking care of cattle and horses. I started professionally training horses when I was 17 and have rodeoed most of my life. I have had the distinct privilege of learning from some of the top ranchhands from Wyoming to Mexico and have gathered all the information they bestowed upon me and have incorporated that knowledge into my teaching of humans and training of horses.if I had to sum up my training techniques into one sentence this is what it would be. I make the right thing easy and the wrong thing hard.

First thing I try to impress upon my students is that each horse just like each person is an individual with likes and dislikes and joys and fears the same as we are and how to connect with their horse to where horse and rider have respect and a mutual understanding of each other. After that I start with the basics from the ground up. I show how to groom and care for a horse from cleaning out their feet to saddling and bridling the horse. In doing this a person will know the well being of their animal and will be able to make adjustments for their horse as needed. Then we get horseback and start with the fundamentals of how to control their horse using every part of the persons body feet, legs, hands and even their voice.

Details

It depends on if I provide the horse or if they do and also how advanced they are. My basic rate is $150.00 an hour but I will adjust it accordingly to each individual.
