About Aram
I have passion for helping indiviudals learn about history. I got my bachlors degree from College of the Holy Cross, majoring in History.
Knowing about the past helps each one of us understand the present and prepare for the future. I would love to help explain different history periods and the changing relations between nations over the ages.
I would be passionate about the different aspects of my preffered subject of history, be it the different time periods and nations that have risen and fallen over that space, or how relations of the past have formed situations we see currently. I think more people knowing the history of something can make them knowledgeable of current events, and open their minds to different perspectives on a single topic.
I have not been a formal teacher, but there are times throughout my life that I saw other struggling with a subject matter I had understood, and expressed some desire to assist them with their troubles. Now, I have finished my schooling and realize I can present myself with more knowledge and experience than before.
I have had some tutors myself previously, and have helped a family friend's kids with some work before, so I do have a sense of what I must do to work with my subject and get them past any hurdles they might encounter.

I would first try getting to know them better, by asking them what sort of topics they enjoy in the course I am helping them with. Then, I would try to ease them into any tougher subjects by starting with what they were most comfortable with, before moving onto more difficult aspects. I would assess and assist the student in the learning process.
The people I have worked with previously have mostly quiet and reserved students, though I would possibly be open to working with students who are more open and expressive.
You should try looking for someone who has a passion for the subject you are struggling with, sine they would likely go the extra efforts to help you learn more, so that you can both express your appreciation for the subject matter through mutual understanding of the materials.
A few months ago, my previous employment was at a company that assists special-needs clients. I was one of the transport workers, and during the journey with the clients I occasionally talked with them. I was impressed that, even though they had disabilities, they were still able to express their feelings and dreams to me with their unique articulation. Thinking back, it makes me realize that I can take aspects of my life for granted, and assisting others is ne way to show my appreciation and pull others up from difficulties.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Is there a way to express my uncertainties and inquiries with the subject in my question? Can I put my question in such a way that it can be easily understood and leave no room for confusion and uncertainty between either party? Will I be comfortable asking for further clarification over a confusing issue?
