About Jenny
Hey! I'm Jenny Lin and graduated from CUNY Hunter with a major in History, minor in Political Science. My love for history, analyzing documents, and essay writing started in high school which was highly emphasized! What you'll expect from my tutoring:
- Any topic or time period that you need help with (Specialty in American History, African American history, Modern French History, Voting Rights in American history (+ POLSCI focus on voting rights), Feminism theories)
- Review, editing, and commentation on essays (any essay works - but major strengths: argumentative essays, DBQ essays, research essays, prospectus)
- Obtaining and analyzing sources - this can range from going through provided sources from class to researching in various archives)
- Guidance in exams/quizzes (AP US History Exam help as well)
- Bachelors in History, minor in Political Science

The main objective would be detecting/working on weaknesses. Usually, on the first day, we'll go over writing samples, quizzes/test examples from school, and overall interests in history. After having a better understanding of where the student lies, the following classes would focus on working on engaging and important skills/topics of history subjects and writing. Some examples of materials I would provide powerpoints, quizlets, quizzes/exam reviews reflecting classroom materials, essay outlines, sample essays, lessons, and sources.
