About Zack
I personalize each guitar lesson to be based around the interests of the student. If they are into more clean, acoustic guitar techniques, or some metal shredding, I can adapt my teaching style to better suit them. Hopefully, the end product will be a student-led, student-motivated endeavour that I facilitate with my knowledge of the electric guitar.
Playing the guitar is my personal catharsis that I believe is a microcosm of personal struggle and perserverence. At first, you see a riff you couldn't possibly play. Then over time and through pain, confusion, and frustration, you can nail that lick, riff or solo. This absolute satisfaction is something that helps me understand the overall journey.

I hope to personalize the guitar playing process as much as I possibly can. Starting out, I can inform the student of the basic elements of the guitar while inquiring about his/her experience with music, music theory, and instruments. Depending on the information and discourse, I will adjust the education plan accordingly. If they just want to get better at dexterity to play a certain riff, I can help, or if they want to understand music theory on a deeper level, I can help. I hope each student comes away from each lesson having learned something they can use in their future in music, however long it may be.
