About CHRIS
I understand why people want to play music. It's a universal language. I've been playing guitar since I was a teenager and the love for the music has never gone away.
I'm blessed that I can show people how to play their favorite songs. To learn how to play chords and play together with others is an amazing feeling and I am happy to provide that opportunity. I like to show people how to play guitar in an easy way. Not like your typical classroom this is a one-on-one feel good kind of class.
Playing music is all that really makes me happy and there are lots of people to feel the same way. When you have a circle of friends that are musicians you share that same life dream. If you can make money doing what you love it's not really a job.
I have been playing music my whole life. I started off playing piano as a child learning a little guitar and eventually playing trombone from 6th grade through high School. I started the garage band in my early teenage years and ultimately ended up playing in a fairly well-known metal band in California. After becoming a father I took some time off to concentrate on doing father things.
I have extensive performance resume as well as sound engineering experience. I love to give the student a full well-rounded musical experience. Some knowledge can't be taught from books.

I'm a visual and an audio learner. I like to teach using both methods.
Usually I start off with a conversation of what kind of music the student wants to learn. We talk about what kind of experience they have and what goals they want for themselves.
Everybody learns differently so I try to customize the experience to the level of the student. Homework or no homework it doesn't seem to matter. It's the drive of the student that will ultimately be what matters :-)
