About Elise

I am a versatile musician who absolutely loves working with kids! As I teach several instruments, I am excited to help you (or your child) find the right fit for your musical adventure - whether it be singing, violin lessons, piano, guitar or drums, we can find the right instrument, genre, and start your journey with the proper foundation for a life long enjoyment of music!

I graduated Cum Laude with my Bachelors of Music degree in Voice, from Boston University. I have also studied privately with many renown professionals, including: Kendra Colton, Dr. George Gibson, Linda Ackermann, Korby Myrick, Carol Brubaker, and Fred Hayes.

About the lesson

I have taught music classes to children as young as 5 months old, and have had students learning well into their 70's! There is no age too young to begin developing an interest and an ear, and there is no age too old to begin realizing a new dream!

I would say to pick a teacher that you have a connection with, beyond respecting them for their expeirence. There is nothing tougher than committing to a learning experience when you can't stand being around the teacher!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I would say the more a student can express to their teacher about what genres of music they are interested in, as well as what their ultimate goals are, will really help your teacher hone in on what it is you are looking to accomplish. I have had students who aren't really interested in classical music suddenly come alive when we took a different direction towards pop and jazz. Sometimes that takes experimentation, but there are so many amazing options for learning in the musical realm, that as long as you feel that you can be honest with your teacher, you can learn (mostly) songs and musical styles that truly interest you and get you excited about practicing!

My pricing varies slightly based on the distance traveled (as I come to you for lessons!), as well as the duration of the lesson. However, to get a little better idea of my pricing - 30 minute lessons start at $50. Every 10th lesson is free - as my way of saying thank you for your continued business and for allowing me to be your teacher :)
