About Jack

Music is my world, and the guitar is my favorite way of connecting with it. Teaching guitar, for me, is all about sharing all of the fun and creative joys that come from learning the instrument, and seeing the ways it can enrich the lives of others the same way it enriched mine.

Together, we'll learn the basics: proper technique, warm-ups, chords, and how to read guitar tabs -- and before long we'll be learning some songs to help build your chops.

I think that one of the best skills a guitarist can have is being able to learn songs by ear -- when you learn this, you'll be able to play just about anything.

For students that are interested, we'll also focus on using the guitar as a songwriting tool -- creating chord progressions, melodies and even lyrics.

Guitar is the greatest passion of my life, and sharing it with people is something I absolutely love!

I'm an experienced singer and guitarist, having played in numerous Rock, Alternative, and Pop bands. I've also engineered and produced numerous songs, albums and projects in the sudio, and have written dozens of songs for myself and others.

Lessons are a somewhat new venture for me, but I'm confident and excited about all that I have to share!
