About Rebecca
I have a BSE bachelor of science in education. I am certified to teach kindergarten through high school music. After getting my degree in music education in 1991, I have taught in a variety of capacities, including a Baptist academy, public school, several Catholic schools, and home school academy. I have taught strings, as well as middle school and high school band, and middle school and high school choir. I have also taught swing choir and jazz band.
The school system puts unrealistic demands on teachers, and in 2021, I decided that it was time to stop teaching in school and music studios and move to a studio in my house.
I have had students on ukulele, guitar, piano, voice, orchestra bells, piccolo, flute, clarinet, bass clarinet, oboe, alto and tenor saxophone, trumpet, trombone, baritone, tuba, snare drum, and drum set.
I charge $23 for a 30 minute lesson at the studio in my house in the Harvester part of St. Peters. I seem to have a special talent for getting special needs students to be successful, and almost all of my students currently are high school or adults. I also have several children.
Please contact me for more information.
